He’s hired and fired thousands. He’s plunged into bankruptcy and clawed his way back to the top. But Donald Trump, star of the hit TV show The Apprentice, couldn’t come face-to-face with wish kid Ignacio, 13, with his trademark stony façade intact. The two met during a special taping of the show to grant Ignacio’s wish to be fired by the real estate and television mogul.
Since then, Trump has also granted a wish during The Apprentice, taking Dasheaira, a young girl being treated for cancer, on an incredible shopping spree.

My father told me that the measure of a man is not what you own or how much success you attain, but how you treat your friends, family and even more importantly how you treat people you don't know. This tells me a lot about someone like Donald Trump who would take time out of his schedule and make something special happen for these kids.

Reading this stirred up something in my spirit. I have a daughter Meaghan who is diagnosed with Histiocytosis and I thought to myself what would she want if you ever met her? She is a witty and outgoing 2 year old. May God bless everyone with Make-A-Wish Foundation.
