This year the St. Regis Monarch Beach in Dana Point will host its 6th Annual Tree Lighting and Sand Sculpture Dedication. The nine-ton sand sculpture, constructed by Jill Smith and Thomas Koet of Sandsational Sand Sculpting, will depict a lovely holiday scene that will amaze each onlooker who comes through the main lobby. Returning as Master of Ceremonies is special guest and Chef Jamie Gwen. After the sand sculpture dedication, come join in the excitement on the Grand Lawn to witness the tree lighting and enjoy photos with Santa, homemade cookies, hot chocolate and warm cider as the sun sets into the Pacific Ocean and the holiday season is magically brought to life.

One special wish child will place the finishing touches on the sand sculpture and another wish child will have the designated honor to “flip the switch” and light up the tree.
