On Saturday, October 25, 2008, an extraordinary event will take place at The Portland Art Museum in downtown Portland. The annual Food, Wine & Wishes gala auction will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Oregon^® , whose mission is to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. The goal for this year’s auction is to raise $350,000 – enough to fulfill 70 children’s wishes, such as a wish to go to Hawaii, to have a play structure, to meet a favorite celebrity, or to be a zoo keeper.
