The Make-A-Wish Foundation® of America, the nation's largest wish granting organization, is launching an unprecedented endowment campaign to raise funds that will allow the organization to grant even more wishes to children with life threatening illnesses. The first wish was granted 28 years ago in Phoenix, Arizona - the location of the national headquarters for the organization. Since then, the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of America has granted 161,000 wishes. The Foundation is currently seeking a Regional Director of Major Gifts, located in the Orange County, California area. Responsibilities include cultivation and solicitation of $50,000+ major gifts experience securing gifts via face-to-face fundraising and also working with fundraising volunteers. Must be willing to travel 50% of the time to meet with prospects, donors, local Make-A-Wish chapters and the national office in Phoenix.

Marketing Manager & Web Producer

Marketing Manager and Web Producer. This position develops, implements and manages marketing and communications programs to generate revenue and promotional support for the Foundation and its chapters. The individual will serve as project lead on Foundation-wide initiatives which include the development of marketing materials and campaigns, management of public service campaigns, web site strategies/management, analyzing current programs and preparing various reports. The position requires a bachelor’s degree, or a relevant combination of education and experience, in marketing, advertising, public relations and web production. Experience working in a marketing agency is a plus. A minimum of two years experience in web production, marketing, advertising or public relations preferred. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, presentation, and customer service skills, as well as strong computer skills. The position also requires the ability to travel for job-related duties.

Director of Communications

The director is responsible for managing the national organization’s cause branding, positioning and communications, integrated marketing and outreach strategy. The individual oversees the implementation of such strategies by spearheading public and media relations, corporate communications, web content, marketing and creative services. The candidate serves as the expert counsel on protecting and enhancing the reputation of the brand, and for developing messages and imagery that encourages individuals, companies, and foundations to support the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree, a minimum of seven years experience with at least two years in a non-profit organization, as well as a portfolio and/or reel of journalism, public relations or communications materials. Requirements include experience managing a team, excellent communication skills, ability to handle multiple projects under deadline pressure, detail and results-oriented, and knowledge of budget processes.
